Don’t make it up there often, but whenever I do take the infamous bike/ped bridge over I-25 to get from, say, North Diversion Channel to Osuna, I am struck every time by just how horribly constructed it was and continues to be.

At this point years into its laughable horribleness, I’m guessing those in charge of such things have not fixed this debacle because it’s just so damn embarrassing. Better to further ignore it by putting it way at the back of the bureaucratic closet with all the other governmental skeletons.

Meanwhile, somebody’s gonna slip/slide/crash down the damn thing, and City of Albuquerque Risk Management will pay that person/family a deserved shitton of money. Instead of spending any money to fix the damn thing. Because, well, that seems to be the “One Albuquerque” way.
