My sense is that Truchas’ “High Country Bar” has been closed since about the time of the 1998 gubernatorial race depicted here as “Avez/Denish.” I could be wrong.

Btw, those who like cycling about will be happy to hear there’s good shoulder on NM-76 in both directions from Chimayo through Cordova to almost Truchas. Give it a ride someday, if you haven’t already.
