Today’s Ride: NM-599 Rail Runner Station

The idea this morning is to catch the 9:35 Downtown Rail Runner northbound to the NM-599 stop. There’s a 1:26 southbound and the NM-599 arrival/departure gap gives me about two and a-half hours to ramble about on both sides of I-25 for a scheduled 23 miles of ebike.

We could call it a “ride to La Cienega and back” but, as you can see, the route is far too erratic to constitute anything resembling “ride to X.” The main reason for the lack of straight route lines is the GPS game Squadrats in which your humble blogger currently ranks 238th in the world or about 20,000th depending on which of the many scoring criteria you’re talking about. The few big and many little green squares on the map/route above are Squadrats-related

In other words, another ride to nowhere and of no real purpose whatsoever. I.e., precisely what I’m looking for these days.
