I am very much opposed to fascism and am thus part of a terrorist organization according to the currently fascist United States government. I vehemently oppose our military invasion into parts of the country the currently fascist government doesn’t like. I strenuously oppose any and all fascist government attempts to stifle dissent and outlaw any speech or non-violent actions against the current government.

After 64 years living in this country, it strikes me that a great majority of my fellow countrypersons would have historically agreed with the sentiments expressed in the previous paragraph throughout almost all of my lifetime. To be against fascism has been like being against a fly in one’s soup. Today, for reasons I’ll leave to others to explain, that fly is running and ruining the country.

I am against the fascist fly. I fully support and all non-violent actions to overcome, defeat, and remove the fascist fly. In the current twisted parlance that makes me “Antifa.”

I am proud to be Antifa.

In my 64 years, this marks the first time I’ve ever needed to tell anyone I am against fascism. Because we didn’t need to do that. But now we do. We absolutely need to join a “terrorist organization” we’ve all always thought just meant being American.
