More Better Burque: There’s a Fat Man, in the Bike Lane, Wearing Blue

The guy cycling in this photo could stand to lose a few pounds, but the important thing here is placement of new flexposts on Girard northbound at its intersection with Central Avenue. More good work from City of Albuquerque here!

And while we’re thinking of this intersection, you know what would also really help there? Leading Pedestrian/Cyclist Intervals. A few seconds head start across the expanse of this complicated set of streets would be a really good idea.

Just sayin’. Cue that LPI/LBI video taken in Montreal, again…

  1. Apologies for not making it at least 1% clear. The “fat man” on the bicycle is me. Scot. The guy who wrote the piece. As mentioned on FB, self-deprecation seems to be a dying art, and I seem to be hastening its demise. Oh well…

P.S.: I’ll work on either/both losing a few pounds and/or lightening up on the self-deprecation.
