Bicycle, transit advisory meetings this week

Untitled.jpg

Albuquerque doesn’t have a Pedestrian Advisory Board (yet) but you’ve got a chance this week to bring up the issue of pedestrian safety, accessibility, and stuff at meetings of the Greater Albuquerque Bicycle Advisory Committee meeting (today) and the Transit Advisory Board (Thursday).

The charmingly chairless GABAC will talk Vision Zero, the late, deeply lamented Fourth Street Protected Bike Lane (PBL, yes, we really call ’em “PBL”s, we are sorry, we also sometimes use the word “signage”), and the dreamy possibility of a South Diversion channel trail.

4:30 p.m. in the 7th floor conference room at Albuquerque City Hall.

No agenda posted yet for Thursday’s Transit Advisory Board meeting: 11:45 am –  1:15 pm, 2nd floor of the Alvarado Transportation Center, 100 1st SW. Convenient bus access on the 66, 766, 777, 10, 11, 53, 12, 8, 97, wait I guess pretty much all the buses go there?
